Medicare services allow homebound clients who are 65+ or clients who have been disabled for at least two years to receive skilled intermittent visits in the comfort of their own home, often delaying having to receive care in a nursing home.
The managers of Algonquin Nurses Home Health Care, Inc. coordinate clients and employees for a large number of cases throughout the metropolitan area. A great amount of effort is generated in order for clients to be serviced in a professional and expedient manner.

Private Duty Care
Private Duty Care is a service designed to provide the best individualized care for those who need more than just home health nursing services. Our private duty services are available even when Medicare is not an option; the cost is traditionally covered by client, long term care insurance and worker’s comp which we will work closely with to support prompt reimbursement.
As we advance thru life or when someone is living with a health condition or chronic illness, they often experience difficulty with the basic activities of daily living, such as grooming and bathing, getting dressed, mobility etc. Medicare and health insurance cover important therapeutic services that are meant to treat a particular health issue, but these issues can create needs beyond medical care. Private Duty Services are meant to provide for these needs.
Algonquin Nurses Case Managers have the experience and expertise to evaluate and recommend care options for their clients to help them remain at home. Our in-home safety evaluation and fall risk assessment make sure the home environment is suitable for safe and sufficient day to day living.
Private duty home care offers home care aides or certified nursing assistants to provide companionship and personal care services and in some cases more complex nursing services – in a client’s home or living facility. The goal of home care is to allow an individual to remain living in their preferred environment as long as possible, regardless of age or disability.
We work closely with independent and assisted living facilities and other senior living communities to allow seniors the freedom and flexibility to live life on their terms. Our personalized care plans complement the services provided in these living environments to help promote a higher quality of life.
As we work in conjunction with hospice to provide a full continuum of therapeutic services to patients and their families, especially at the end of life. Hospice usually involves a team of physicians, nurses, spiritual counselors, and volunteers who provide comprehensive support to families dealing with end of life issues. Private duty home care can deliver supplemental support to hospice patients, and we often work hand in hand with both the home health and hospice companies to provide a total care solution.
